Just read the article below on an interesting company named Bitwise. It’s a short read, but fascinating.   This is what we are going through to a lesser degree ourselves.  As the year progresses I do see more articles and more discussion about the VC world and the lack of service to “non-tech” cities. There is also a lot of discussion about the lack of funding for minority start-ups that will hopefully lead to more focus on both “non-tech” hubs and minority-owned startups. Folks like Techstars (our local superheroes out of Boulder), the Revolution (a Steve Case VC firm), and others are doing good work here with Techstars by far the best (in my opinion). These articles and successes make us hopeful that we will succeed (hopefully sooner rather than later).
