I love to bike. I have biked to work over the years or to school- not just K-12! As a retired triathlete, biking used to be a big part of my day (riding 200 plus miles per week). Post triathlons, biking became more difficult. Living in Colorado Springs, commuting by bicycle could be a big part of the day and strides have been made to get more cycling out of more people. New bike lanes in downtown are good, but for the most part unused and honestly hard to drive on if you are a car (not a great combination). At least it’s a start! If we could increase the number of people who cycle to work everywhere by even 10%, it would be so good, not only for the people who do it but the environment and congestion. I have never heard of “road rage” on a bicycle. Here are some great projects that promote cycling in urban areas.
